The beginning of the road started from China aiming to sell fabric made from silk to other civilizations. And from that period this route became the name - Silk Road.

At the present day when transportation system developed quite well you can easily visit each place of Silk Road where ancient traders usually stayed in order to exchange their goods with products which they could sell in their home country for big money. Beijing, Kashgar, Kokand, Tashkent, Samarkand, Baghdad and Constantinople (Istanbul) were the main centers of trading. Nowadays many travel agencies offer Silk Road tours for tourists. In fact, it is very interesting and fascinating pastime for those who have nothing to do at home and for those who interested in history. Because during the tour you will have a chance to meet descendants of those traders who merchandised when Silk Road existed. Much of them have same excellent skills in trading as their ancestors.
